General Information on Manuscript Submission

Malaysian Orthopaedic Journal (MOJ) encourages clinicians and researchers to publish articles on musculoskeletal conditions in the form of Case Reports or Original Papers. For Letters to the Editor, in addition to commentaries on published articles, we also encourage clinicians to share their experience on innovative procedures, interesting clinical findings or unexpected treatment outcome when the material does not qualify for Case Reports or Original Papers. MOJ will also consider not scientific articles that may be of interest to the medical community as a Special Article and Editorials. Review articles are only by invitation.

For submitting a new article, the corresponding author will need to register (as an author) with our MOJ Editorial Manager program. The program will guide the author to provide necessary information. Uploaded material can be saved and the submission process can be completed at a later stage.

Article Processing Charge (APC): There will be a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 60.00 for every submission starting 1st May 2020. The fee is not refundable, and it is applicable for case reports, original papers, special papers and review papers. The APC will cover the cost of programs used in the editorial process that includes article tracking software (Editorial Manager), similarity check service (CrossCheck), and digital object identifier (CrossRef). Format editing, peer reviewing, manuscript editing and copy editing are performed by our team of editors and reviewers without charge. Once the APC payment has been confirmed, we will initiate the screening and evaluation process.
